Houston newborn photographers, Belly to Baby Studios, photographed her newborn portrait when she was about 9 days old. We were able to capture a variety of images during her newborn photography session here at our studio. We love that her family has these newborn portraits hanging on their walls and in Ana’s newborn photography album. They can look at them for years to come!

Being a Mom myself, I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing our daughter home from the hospital and she was a newborn. Time goes by even faster when you have a baby and your family is growing. It’s so important to photograph your baby as a newborn, and at the milestones: 3-4 months old, 6-7 months old and especially when your baby turns 1! You will never get this time back, and printed photographs are the best way to preserve and capture those moments and details. Make time and schedule your newborn, baby or family portrait session; leave a printed photographic journal for your family.

Houston newborn and family portrait photographers, Belly to Baby Studios, recently photographed this family’s first portraits here in the studio. In addition to having their newborn photography, we extended the session to include family portraits as well. Your baby will only be this small for a short time. I love looking at portraits of our own daughter when she was this tiny and could curl up and nestle close to us. These portraits tell a story and help us remember moments in time.

For your newborn portrait sessions, we have a prop closet full of wraps, baskets, blankets and backgrounds available for your baby. You do not need to bring a thing; just your baby! For your family portraits, we will have a brief clothing consultation over the phone so we can provide suggestions for your attire so there is harmony in your portrait. We want you to view your portrait 20 years from now and it look timeless versus dated with trending clothing and fancy photoshop effects. We realize you just had a baby, and probably do not have time to shop. We always will suggest and work with clothing that is already in your closet. We want to keep the portrait session simple and easy on your part.

We recommend scheduling your baby’s session actually before your delivery date, if at all possible. In some cases, this is not always possible and we understand that. We do have Moms call us that have already had their baby, and their baby is a few weeks old. That is ok, we do not turn babies away when they are outside of the ideal 12 day old window. The important thing is to get your baby photographed when they are still tiny and a newborn. After all, the newborn phase is a short window of time. Houston Newborn Photographers

Houston maternity and newborn photographer, Lisa Carr, recently photographed Henry here in the studio. When I talked with Henry’s Mom over the phone, I learned a lot about her style and her taste. We talked about her personal style, color tones and décor in her home. For Henry’s newborn session, I did photograph him in the color tones and style like what is shown in our newborn gallery on our website. I also wanted to give her a different look for a few of the newborn portraits. The black and white portrait shown here is more of an art piece for their home. I knew, based on her style, that this newborn portrait would be different and would fit in perfectly hanging on a wall in their home.

We have a full prop closet here in the studio for our Maternity & Newborn Portrait clients. Our prop closet has over 20 different backgrounds, 10 different baskets, a variety of hats, diaper covers and pants and even tutus for newborn girls. We also have over 15 different wraps for your baby. For your newborn session, all you need to bring is your baby and milk or formula. Extra diapers are always recommended. You can arrive here and just relax during your baby’s newborn session.

Houston maternity portrait photographer, Lisa Carr, CPP, photographed this maternity portrait in the studio. Lily went to Sensia before her session so they could apply her makeup and style her hair. She felt pampered and ready for her milestone Maternity Session!

You have unlimited wardrobe changes during your portrait session. Belly to Baby Studios offers newborn photography in Houston, TX. Lisa Carr recently photographed this newborn baby girl in our studio. A newborn’s first photography session is recommended to be scheduled within 7-12 days of birth. We recommend calling and having a consult before your session so you can prepare in advance. We always have an assistant on set to help with baby safety, and posing. We want to make sure your baby is relaxed and in good hands during the session. We do have a variety of props such as wraps, backdrops, baskets, pants, diaper covers, tutus, hats and hair accessories in a variety of soothing colors.

We strive to create artwork for your home that can be hung in a nursery or hallway. Newborns stay this small for a short window of time. So many parents come back to us at 3 months and 6 months to document the growth of their baby. It is very important to capture this time in a baby’s life since they grow so fast.
