Houston maternity and newborn photographer, Lisa Carr, recently photographed Henry here in the studio. When I talked with Henry’s Mom over the phone, I learned a lot about her style and her taste. We talked about her personal style, color tones and décor in her home. For Henry’s newborn session, I did photograph him in the color tones and style like what is shown in our newborn gallery on our website. I also wanted to give her a different look for a few of the newborn portraits. The black and white portrait shown here is more of an art piece for their home. I knew, based on her style, that this newborn portrait would be different and would fit in perfectly hanging on a wall in their home.
We have a full prop closet here in the studio for our Maternity & Newborn Portrait clients. Our prop closet has over 20 different backgrounds, 10 different baskets, a variety of hats, diaper covers and pants and even tutus for newborn girls. We also have over 15 different wraps for your baby. For your newborn session, all you need to bring is your baby and milk or formula. Extra diapers are always recommended. You can arrive here and just relax during your baby’s newborn session.
Belly to Baby Studios is located in the Galleria area, in a professional office building, 77057. We specialize in Maternity and Newborn photography. We recommend scheduling your baby’s session actually before your delivery date, if at all possible. In some cases, this is not always possible and we understand that. We do have Moms call us that have already had their baby, and their baby is a few weeks old. That is ok, we do not turn babies away when they are outside of the ideal 12 day old window. The important thing is to get your baby photographed when they are still tiny and a newborn. After all, the newborn phase is a short window of time.
