See all your fantastic portraits captured during the session at your personal viewing and ordering appointment in our studio. Our portrait artist will sit with you and help you select your favorite portraits. During this viewing and ordering session, you will have the opportunity to select and purchase the portraits you like.
✔ Wardrobe Consultation
We send our expert guidance and suggestions on what to wear for the portrait session.
Why Mothers & Daughters?
We often hear from our clients that moms are usually the ones behind the camera, capturing amazing moments of their kids. But they deserve to be in the photos too. It’s time for moms to have beautiful family portraits alongside their children–not just of their children–and not just blurry phone selfies!
Can I buy the photographs?
Of course! While there’s absolutely no obligation to buy any of the images, you will have a fun and very special viewing session in our studio where you can look at your stunning Mothers and daughters portraits one week after your session. Should you fall head over heels (which we’re pretty sure you will) with any of your images, we’ll help guide you through the options ensuring the best fit for you and your family. At that time, you can apply your gift certificate toward your portrait purchase during the initial order appointment.
Our artwork starts at $450; and while most clients typically spend $1500 and more on their finished art pieces and digital negatives, getting exactly what they want.
How do I book my session?
To book your session, please fill out our short application form below and we’ll get in touch with you via email to schedule a quick phone call and go over all the details. Sessions are limited and are being scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait too long!

WHERE IS THE STUDIO LOCATED?
Our Studio address is 5701 Woodway, Ste 108; Houston, TX 77057 by appointment only.
WHY ARE YOU OFFERING THESE SESSIONS?
We are constantly trying new lighting, backdrops, and posing techniques, so we always need fresh faces for our ever-expanding website portfolios and studio displays.
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR MODELS?
No, we are looking for REAL mothers and daughters for our portfolios. Our clients are real people so we prefer to show real people in our wall displays, on our website, social media and in our portfolios.
CAN I BRING OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring along other important family members (no pets in our commercial building), like a spouse if applicable, or grandparents. There is no charge for additional family members, and we can include them in part of your photography session.
HOW LONG WILL OUR PHOTO SESSION LAST?
A standard session takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the number of people in the family and if there is an outfit change.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE A RESERVATION FEE FOR A COMPLIMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?
Our portrait artists are invested in creating beautiful artistic portraits of you and your children. Unfortunately, in the past when we offered complimentary sessions without any reservation fee, we experienced many late cancellations and no-shows. We now require a $200 refundable reservation fee to book your time on the studio’s calendar. The $200 fee is fully refundable and can be applied to your portrait order as long as you keep your appointments or provide 7 day’s notice to reschedule.

No need to worry! Once your session is booked, we’ll send you ideas on what to wear and what works best in B&W and with our studio’s signature style.

ABOUT belly to baby studios
Welcome to the heart of timeless moments, where your journey into parenthood and family life is captured with the artistry it deserves. I am Lisa Carr, a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP), specializing in professional maternity, newborn, baby, and family portraits. As a devoted wife and a loving mom to our precious 12-year-old, I understand the essence of family and the profound joy that each chapter brings.
My photographic journey began 28 years ago when my husband, Michael Carr, and I founded Michael Carr Photography. Originally focused on wedding photography, our clients soon became an extended part of our family, seeking to capture the growth of their own families through baby and family portraits. Witnessing these beautiful moments was bittersweet, as we had struggled for years to build our own family.
In 2011, after overcoming challenges with medical intervention, faith, and prayers, we were blessed with our daughter, Bella Grace. The desire to document every miraculous aspect of my pregnancy, Bella’s birth, and her newborn days inspired the creation of Belly to Baby Studios. As a Houston maternity and newborn photographer, I am honored to freeze these fleeting moments in time, preserving the pure beauty of your family’s story.
